What changes when the weight drops 20 g from the Pro
TW lists the Gravity Pro at 332 g/329 swingweight and the MP at 312 g/323. Both have 100 in² heads, but the Pro uses 18×20 and a 20 mm beam, against the MP's 16×20 and 22 mm. Pattern and frame geometry change alongside total mass.
The MP's listed strung balance of 33.48 cm is farther towards the head than the Pro's 31.98 cm. The percentage reduction in static weight therefore does not translate directly into the same reduction in swing demand. Assess weight in the hand separately from a rapid reset.
Check the upper-head design against your actual contact
TW describes the Gravity's teardrop shape as expanding the upper contact region and identifies a partial CAP grommet system at the MP's tip. These explain construction and intent; they are not a measured map of rebound at each contact point.
If you commonly hit high in the head, check depth and direction at that location. If your misses are predominantly lateral, an upper-head design description alone does not establish a solution. Separate your frequent miss locations before judging the geometry.
16×20 is not an averaged score between 16×19 and 18×20
The Speed MP 2026 also has 100 in² but uses 16×19. One additional cross does not calculate an intermediate amount of spin or control. Head shape, central spacing and the conditions governing string movement also differ.
Compare high-clearance crosscourt balls with short returns using incoming pace. Equal tension settings do not make the stringbeds identical. Match string model and gauge, then record actual launch height and landing length.
What 57 RA answers, and what it leaves open
The 57 RA figure concerns frame bending. TW's Radical MP 2025 has the same 323 swingweight but 66 RA, a 98 in² head and a different beam profile. It illustrates why equal swingweight does not establish equal impact response.
Do not convert low RA into a personal comfort score. If defensive balls fall short with polyester, inspect string stiffness and condition as well as frame bending. TW's 48–57 lb range provides reference information rather than an individual optimum.
Before adding weight to the lighter starting setup
On a fast body return and a low first volley, distinguish the racquet being displaced at impact from preparation simply arriving late. The sensations can overlap but suggest different responses. Extra head mass can increase the acceleration demand when timing is already late.
Record finished weight and balance before considering placement changes. Adding handle mass to increase the head-light balance description does not remove the swingweight contributed by mass already added to the head.
