HEAD Radical PRO 2025
TW lists the Radical Pro 2025 at 332 g strung, 329 swingweight and 65 RA. It shares the MP's 98 in²/16×19 format but changes mass, balance and beam profile. Assess the value of redirecting pace alongside the demand of accelerating the ball yourself.

The physical change from MP to Pro
TW's MP reference is 318 g/323 swingweight against the Pro's 332 g/329. The Pro's strung balance of 32.39 cm lies closer to the handle than the MP's 33.02 cm. More head-light balance has not cancelled the additional mass or rotational resistance.
Separate a short block return against a fast serve from an attacking stroke against a slow ball. Mass useful in resisting the collision can make acceleration harder when preparation is late. Neither situation alone should decide the purchase.
Reading the Pro's thinner middle beam
The Pro's profile is 20/21.5/21 mm; the MP's is 20/23/21 mm. The central value changes in particular. TW describes the Pro as the thin-beamed member of the Radical family, but that does not quantify stiffness in every direction.
Published RA is 65 for the Pro and 66 for the MP. Without measurement-variation information, a one-point difference is insufficient to rank perceived softness. Keep beam geometry, bending measurements and actual contact sensation separate.
Matching the Gravity Pro at 332 g/329 does not match its response
TW also lists the Gravity Pro 2025 at 332 g and 329 swingweight, but with 100 in², 18×20, a 20 mm beam and 59 RA. Against the Radical Pro's 98 in²/16×19, both head and pattern change.
In a demo, record length variation on clean drives separately from depth on off-centre defensive balls. Reproducing static weight and swingweight does not reproduce the same stringbed or torsional resistance.
String choice still matters within 48–57 lb
TW lists 48–57 lb. The Pro name does not require thick polyester or the top of that range. Material and gauge affect deformation and energy-return properties of the strings.
Start an MP comparison with the same string model and gauge in similarly fresh condition. When length changes with use, distinguish late contact from wear and tension change. Trying to solve a mass-related preparation problem through tension alone can leave the cause untouched.
Check demanding sequences before buying another
Include the first volley after serving, a forehand following a high backhand and a short-ball attack after a long rally. Late preparation in these sequences reveals limits that rested, central hits can conceal.
TW's overview describes roughly 330 swingweight while its detailed table specifies 329; this article uses the table's 329 as the reference. Above all, inspect the finished unit so the demo you liked and the next purchase can be compared under similar conditions.
